Interaction Policy
The following is targeted for threaded conversations such as Facebook where timeline owner has full control of the original post and its comments. Same policy applies to those more ad-hoc (like Twitter) but they still apply for the ground of blocking:
Just to make it crystal clear, if you are choosing to comment or post anything on my timeline, I ask you to be considerate, respectful, and polite, regardless of their view point. I will delete your comments at my discretion if you are found to be violating this rule or if I find contents unfit or inappropriate.
You are free to disagree with me or anyone in the discussion, but if you are disagreeing to comply with the above, please do not comment or post.
If you don't want see my post or are not comfortable with my house rule, please go ahead and mute, unfriend or block me, I don't mind.
Some clarifications:
Will you delete for disagreement in opinions?
No, I'm more decent human being than the certain individual who screams "fake news" for information that doesn't presents in favor of him. This policy does not pertains to your opinion, but the way they are presented. I may disregard your comment or post, but won't be ground for deletion just because it is a disagreement.
What if I find threatening and/or illegal posts?
If you find anything that violates or potentially violates Facebook's policy, you may want to report them instead. I don't usually get those, but if you do find them, please help me flag them.
Is this applicable for groups and pages?
Only for personal ones. I am a moderator for groups and pages for several organizations and they are operated under their own set of rules, and I won't be sole decision maker for deletion.
Will you block me?
If you are a repeat offender to the point I feel like you are harassing me or others, I may decide to unfriend or block you. It'll be usually latter in my case as many of posts are public.
Does this apply to reaction and emoticons?
Maybe. I understand this is tricky as one reaction can be interpreted in multiple ways. If you feel your reaction the post may be misunderstood, I would like to recommend commenting instead.
What should I do if my contents are deleted?
If I were you, I would just forget about it and go on with your day. Complaining about it will only result in more deletion (or block). For any reason I delete your contents by mistake, I am pretty good letting you know it was a mistake.
Why did you create this rule?
Because I have been seeing developing patterns and I have also received some complaints from people who were viewing them. These are mostly common sense that I shouldn't have to enforce. So I hope this is not too hard for you to follow.
